lisa + skye | emily + eaden

These girls and I go wayyyyyyy back. These are the kinds of friends I'm thankful for... the ones who you know have your back no matter how much time has passed or how much distance is between. And now there's a whole new generation. I remember when their daughters were born, and it seems like yesterday. Now they are all grown up! Four wonderful ladies (five, if you count me)... and an excursion around Cincinnati. I also knew they wouldn't mind if I got a little nutty with some editing. That's how they roll.

Lisa and Emily...

And Skye...

And Eaden...

And Miss Vivian...

It was like epic sunshine, but we made the most of it.

smile | other people's wisdom

There is a girl named Jess and she has a blog. It's called Makeunder My Life. You should read it. Trust me.

This week, she had a guest blogger and I really liked what she said. I thought I'd share some of it on my blog. Click here for the entire post.

These are the ways she recommends that you make yourself smile every day. I agree wholeheartedly.

Do:

Have confidence in your abilities.
Give yourself space to take breaks every now and then.
Start your to-do list with a task you’ve already done.
Begin thinking about lunch at 9:35 A.M.
Be truthful about your own feelings. If you are happy, acknowledge the joy. If you are sad, acknowledge the sorrow.
Put cheese on top of any meal, it just makes it better.

Don’t:

Question your abilities- if you haven’t noticed, you rock.
Be afraid of not knowing the answer, the future, or all of the above.
Worry about the number on the scale- worry if you look too freakin’ gorgeous for work.
Try to please everyone, you will always be disappointed.
Burn the popcorn.
Put yourself down. Ever.

xoxo, gossip girl.
er, i mean Molly.

chandis | one year shoot

This was fun. I've known Alexis since she was 13 and when I had the chance to shoot HER little boy, I was excited. Alexis' mom is one of my dearest friends from Cincinnati. I just love the whole family. It's hard for me to believe that Alexis is now a mom... so bizarre. This was the first time I'd met Chandis and I heart him. Holy crap he's cute. What a happy baby! Alexis is doing a wonderful job, and I am amazed to see how her support system has rallied around her and this little guy. I'm so proud of you, Lex. xoxo.

This is for Chief...

michael | family shoot

I met Michael (and his mom and dad) Saturday morning at the IMA. I couldn't get enough of this face. And then, he put on the hat... so stinkin' cute! This is probably my favorite age to photograph. I just love it when they're finding their footing and their little personalities are starting to shine through. What a fun shoot!

We came across a dog as we were making our way back to the front of the museum. They had a moment.

parker + matilda | twins on the loose

Ah, my little girlfriends from NYC. This is the second time I have spent a few hours with Matilda and Parker, and they are just outstanding. First of all, they're just as pretty as can be. Second of all, they are hilarious. If I was 2, they'd be my besties. I'm certain of it.

And the -ilfs...

luke | omg

This is Luke.
He is potty training.
He is the front hallway potty training.
He is also reading US Magazine.
These are the reasons why I heart him.

aaron + ethan | family session

Holy cow it was hot for this shoot. Like, death heat. But these rockstar twins were total troopers. Aaron and Ethan were full of sneezes and runny noses, but we have a great time together. Aren't they just darling? P.S... I had dreams of caterpillars ALL over me for days. Just kidding... had a blast!
