www.mollyconnor.com/blog

The new blog is live. This one has been laid to rest. I imported some stuff from this blog so it will live on at it's current location, but nothing new will show up here.

What are you waiting for? Click here and bookmark it.

new blog.

The new blog is going to go live this week. It's fancy. I'm working on just redirecting your subscription so that you don't have to do a whole song and dance to make the transition. It CAN be done. I'm just not sure I have the smarts to follow the directions. Also, it will be a new URL, but that should all redirect, as well.

Stay tuned.

me | a toast

I have the best friends in the world... and they were so wonderful this week as I celebrated my birthday (again and again and again).

Last night, Emily gave a lovely toast (and by "toast", I mean she read out loud in a bar during a timeout of the Xavier game from a Grey Goose ad found in Vanity Fair). But I love it... just love it. Who knew Grey Goose could speak so profoundly about the abundance of love in my life?!?!?

With that... cheers to my friends.

A toast
To nearest
To dearest
To the crew
To cahoots
To the ones who’ve been there
To the ones who’ll be there
To dropping everything
To saying anything
To no judgments
To no doubts
To loyalty
To trust
To favors
To lifelongs
To been too long
To nothing’s changed
To having history
To having your back
To moving away
To never too far
To growing up
To settling down
To your second family
To friends

pete | studio

Pete gave me my very first photography gig. For that, I'm extremely grateful. We've learned a lot along the way together and keep rockin' and rollin'. I'm so proud of us both! He needed some new head shots and I was glad to help. Thanks, Peter.

drew | he likes hats

This is Drew. Drew's mom is friends with Adalyn's mom and hooked us up. Drew is four months old and is such a cool kid. So laid back and just fun to be around (minus the one picture where he's having a slight meltdown... he was kind of over me at that point)... had a blast. Here are some teasers.

drew | a reminder

I've been editing for 4 hours. I'm tired. And I was thinking I needed a break. And then I saw this picture. I laughed out loud and I remembered how much I love taking photos. Especially photos like this. I love this photo. So now I will edit more.

me | best birthday card ever.

I love my birthday. Have you heard? Well, I do. And I'm crazy busy finishing up all of these family photos tonight and tomorrow night so I don't have the time (yet) to go on and on about my birthday. Or work on my 35 things list. But what I do have time for is to (1) thank all of my friends who celebrated with me this past weekend and (2) scan in the BEST BIRTHDAY CARD IN THE HISTORY OF BIRTHDAYS.

It's from my friend, Mindy.

*she clarified on the inside that she actually likes how I dress... and that makes me heart it, and her, even more.

bailey + bode

Amy and Geoff wanted a few pics with their babies... we had a quicky shoot over at Butler on one of the last tolerable days of the year. Just a few teasers...

ella + caden | freezing skittles

Meet Ella and Caden. Like any smart kids, they work for Skittles. And we learned that I work for Raisinettes. Love it.

Also, the Frazier family gets 10 bonus points for withstanding the coldest indoor photo shoot of all time. I was trying to be clever with a location but wasn't thinking that it would take 6 years to heat a big, empty house. Lesson learned.

This is what happens after too many Skittles... love.

nikki + matt | happily ever after

My friend Nikki asked me to shoot her wedding and I was thrilled. Then, I met her husband-to-be and was even more thrilled. Then I found out that I knew all of her bridesmaids... yay! I knew this was going to be fun.

And let me assure you that it was. Things I loved about Nikki's wedding:
(1) she was so calm, so relaxed and so ready to start her life with Matt
(2) her bridesmaids dresses- props to Nikki and my friend Allison, who owns Bella Bridesmaid, for orchestrating such a cool look
(3) her accessories (aka "bridemaids")
(4) party bus with a stop at the liquor store
(5) mini-pies instead of cakes
(6) Nikki dancing with her grandfather
(7) tights
(8) photo booth with props
(9) FBRT (muah, Nikki)

This is for Bryan... and don't you worry, there's a whole trainwreck of a series of these.

Ah, love.

noelle + mark | love, cupcakes and cookies

I love Noelle. I've known her via Susan for awhile, and was thrilled when she asked me to shoot her quaint little wedding. She has such great style so I knew it would be simple and elegant. She didn't disappoint. Sweet, romantic and full of love... surrounded by their friends and family who love them. Also, I love a wedding where the menu consists of cookies, cupcakes, burgers and beer. Congratulations on happily ever after.

*Note, I was feeling a little odd tonight so I was playing around a lot in b+w. I promise that you're not going to get a whole set of b+w photos... it's just how the mood struck me when I was editing for the blog. Thanks for rolling with it :)

The bridesmaids... these gals were awesome.

Seems odd that I photographed the whole wedding and didn't notice these two being there. Hmmmm.
