So, this past week I came across a note card that said (in a very cool font, of course) the following three words: "Less than three". I thought, "well that's dumb." I immediately turned the corner at Target and got distracted by these amazing towels on sale for $3. I don't remember the last time I bought new towels. I have no idea why this is. Anyway... you'd think these two things were unrelated until I got to the checkout and suddenly realized that "less than three" is long-hand for a heart icon. Genius. I hate when I'm the last to know things. Anyway, this new phrase and my new towels prompted me to make a list of all of the things that I heart. Obviously, as are most things in my life, this is a work in progress.
Lucy Jane, beagle.
I less than three her because she is love of my life and my favorite girl. She sleeps in, bangs the hell out of her bowls when she's thirsty, loves me unconditionally and keeps the bend of my knee warm at night.
My 50 mm f/1.4 lens.
This lens does exactly what I tell it to do (almost) every time.
Sofia.
Ah, Sofia. I less than three this champagne because I drink it with my favorite gals at my favorite place. Plus, it's like an adult Capri Sun. Who doesn't think it's classy to drink champagne from a straw? Amen, Francis Ford Coppola. (Even classier is when Gina finishes it and then slams it against her forehead. Just sayin'.)
Roundabouts of any sort.
The fact that it is conceivable for me to get from point A to point B by simply merging is wonderful.
Command + z (the "undo" command).
I would really less than three this function if it applied to my life. Overslept? Command + z. Forgot someone's name? Command + z. Spill down the front of my dress? Command + z. You can see how this would be useful.
Friends who amaze me.
Two examples of these friends who I less than three include Megan O'Haver Meinhardt, who is a true mother in every sense of the word, and Meggie Huels Dials, who is just an all around rockstar.
Vanity Fair.
The happiest day of the month is when this magazine arrives. If it's not in Vanity Fair, how could I possibly less than three it?
Office supplies
I love office supplies, specifically fine point Sharpie's and Post-it flags.
My own URL.
Just because it's cool.
My tattoo (sorry, mom).
I less than three my tattoo for the following reasons: (1) I actually did something that I thought I'd always be too scared to do, (2) I did it without asking permission, (3) Maggie, Meghan, Jenn and Casey were all there to hold my hand (literally) and (4) it totally ups my badass quotient.
This card, from Emily (12.09.2007).
My text message alert.
Less than three.
Hair dye.
Blonde, pretty red, strawberry blonde, chocolate brown, Claire-Danes-in-My So Called Life-red, caramel, whatever... less than three them all.
Brian Barrett.
I less than three Brian Barrett because at work today, he told me that he should be on my less than three list. I dig that.
New towels.
Amazing. It's the simple things.
The name Flannery O'Connor, and the fact that she says cool things.
Mad Men.
Don, Pete, Ken Cosgrove, Peggy's polka-dot dress, the music at the end of each episode, Joan, Joan and Joan, the non-gay gay guy, Sally's lisp... holy crap I less than three ALL of it.
The Wellington, up and down... and being an M in general.
Zips.
"Yes, I'll have a Zip burger with everything on the side, no mayo, regular fries and a Miller Lite. Please and thank you."
Cherry Limeade.
Cherry + lime + ade. Add crushed ice. Revolutionary.
Etsy.com
Seriously, people. If you don't less than three this site, then I don't less than three you.
My Canon 5D Mark II.
There are no words. And I might less than more than three this.
Fizbo, the Clown.
This is probably the hardest I've ever LOL'd at a television show. Plus, I feel like Cam would appreciate the concept of less than three'ing.
Fountain Cokes.
In particular, I less than three the McDonald's formula, with their ice... $1.
This quote that I found today, because it's true, and it made me cry.
Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could.
Some blunders and absurdities have crept in; forget them as soon as you can.
Tomorrow is a new day.... you shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.

angela + jon | the wedding
I've been anxiously awaiting Angela and Jon's wedding for a long time. It seems like forever ago that we first met at Starbucks to see if we were a good fit. We clicked right away. She might be the most organized bride I've ever met, and Jon is so laid back... they make a great couple. They had a great wedding downtown, complete with a carriage ride and a reception that eventually turned into Dance Party USA (pictures have been suppressed to protect the parties involved- ha!). They are taking a 12 day honeymoon to St. Lucia and I hope they enjoy every minute!
I love (and I mean LOVE) this dress.
This shot about sums it all up (thanks, B).
Our friends at the T Mobile store downtown let us graciously borrow their window on the corner of Meridian and Washington.

drew | patriots fan
Meet Drew. Drew's mom is my friend, Jennifer. They were in town for the weekend from Boston and he was just too cute for me to refuse to take his photo in this ridiculous jersey. Ah, the things I do... He was just darling and so polite and it was a pleasure to take his photo!
Here are just a few photos- more to come! Enjoy.

megan + ryan | happily ever after
Megan and Ryan, true love. This was truly an example of two best friends marrying each other and continuing their happily ever after. They are in L-O-V-E, and their friends and family are in love with them! I had a blast with this crew. Who doesn't love a bride and a groom with a limo stocked with Boone's? Loved it. I hope you're enjoying Hawaii... thank you for sharing your special day with me!
This lovely book was at the salon.
And, Miss Roxie stopped by the salon...

aveda | mid-america show 2010
This weekend, I had the chance to shoot a (BIG) Aveda hair show in Cincinnati. My dear girlfriend, Lisa, asked me to come take some photos for Aveda and I jumped right on it. These shows are a TON of work and I was amazed at all of the work that went into this event. It did not disappoint. Everything was perfect. I was all over the place... from the runway to the prep room to the retail area. It was wonderful. Once again, they have shown me what an amazing company Aveda is.

adalyn | she's three
This is Adalyn. When I met her down on the canal, I was greeted with a "cock-a-doodle-doo". I knew then that we'd be in good shape. This girl is so full of personality, she had me cracking up. And that's before we even got to the sunglasses portion of our date. Here are a few photos of our afternoon together.
